For over 30 years Gianna has been a pioneer in AI, Cognitive Cybernetics and Natural Language Processing. Much of her work has been applying advanced principles to search such as semantic networks or morphological grammars, and working on self organizing non-tensor models for knowledge representation. She is considered one of the founders of genetic programming and has held senior positions at IBM, Oracle, Documentum and has led technology projects around the world.
